The Atlantis Islands are located in the middle of the southern Atlantic Ocean. Geographically speaking, they are old islands, but they had been submerged underwater for an as of yet unsure period of time.  Geographers speculate that the shifting of tectonic plates beneath the Atlantic had been pushing them back up to the surface over the course of the past 400 years.  Their existence was only discovered over the past several years.

Upon the islands are the ruins of a long lost civilization.  Archeologists have so far failed to match these remains with any other known ancient peoples.  Though no one knows for certain, there are excited rumors floating about that the fabled lost city of Atlantis has finally been found.

The islands with their ruins, and tropical beaches attract tourists from all over the world as well as entrepreneurs and developers looking to make a buck.  A huge resort town has been built upon one of the islands, and deemed Atlantis City.  With the tropical weather, beaches of white sand and crystal blue water, and mysterious ruins; it has become a hot spot for travelers.  Even the supernatural have begun to take notice of this exotic place.
